Nik Nak joined our family in 2000. He was named after the Hervé Villechaize character in the Man with the Golden Gun (but with a different spelling). We thought he looked like a small evil henchman, and he's lived up to his name, often.

He has also been called Damien, Satan and the Devil, though only in fun. Nik Nak can be destructive with his teeth, devouring holes in the sofa and nibbling on Sean's sneakers, as well as finding new and inventive places to pee. Overall he is too cute to be mad at for long, and even when he is being punished for his latest misadventure, you can't help but feel sorry for him.

He is very much a little brother to Sasha, who as a big sister likes to kick his annoying butt once in awhile. Mainly they curl up together on the couch.
